There are hundreds of individuals in the Ch05En universe who are not a part of the Global Heroes Society, The Aggregate, and are not Genetic Extremists. These people use their powers for personal gain, often at the cost of others. They are commonly referred to as Freelancers. Famous Freelancers often become labeled as Supervillains, though it takes widespread recognition before they get to that point. Capes not investigating Aggregate activity often respond to calls regarding Freelancer activity. Some of the most famous Freelancers include the group known as Totem and the eventual Supervillain MegaTech.
